About Exhibiting at Espacio Gallery

Why exhibit at Espacio Gallery?

Exhibiting at Espacio Gallery means presenting your work in a professional contemporary art space in Shoreditch, London, as part of a curated group exhibition. It is an opportunity for visibility, connection and participation in an active international artistic community. Exhibiting is about taking your work out into the world and allowing it to meet its audience.

Why do I need to pay to exhibit?

Espacio Gallery is an independent gallery and does not receive government funding or public subsidies. Exhibition fees support the operational costs of running a professional gallery space, including lighting, maintenance, staffing and public access. This model allows artists to exhibit without sales commission while maintaining a high standard of presentation.

What am I paying for when I book a wall or space?

You are paying exclusively for the use of a specific wall or exhibition space to display your artwork for five public exhibition days, plus one installation day and one takedown day, totalling seven days of access. No additional services are included.

Promotion, Visibility & Artwork Sales

Is there any guarantee that my artwork will sell?

No. There is no guarantee that an artwork will sell. Art sales depend on many factors such as timing, audience and personal connection. From experience, artworks often find their collectors over time. Exhibiting creates visibility, conversations and long term opportunities. Art finds its owner through encounter and presence.

Will my name appear on the Espacio Gallery website?

Yes. All participating artists are listed by name on the exhibition page on the Espacio Gallery website in the days leading up to the opening of the exhibition.

Will the gallery promote me as an individual artist?

Espacio Gallery actively promotes the exhibition as a whole across its website and social media channels. Individual artist promotion may occur but is not guaranteed and depends on curatorial focus and operational capacity. Artists seeking higher visibility may book additional promotion services separately.

Does Espacio Gallery take commission on artwork sales?

No. Artists who book a wall or space do not pay commission on sales and manage their own transactions. If an artist requests the gallery to manage the sale process on their behalf, a commission applies and is agreed in writing in advance.

Who packs and delivers my artwork if it is sold?

The artist is fully responsible for packing their artwork securely and arranging delivery or collection directly with the buyer. Espacio Gallery does not provide packing materials and does not arrange shipping.

Who installs my artwork?

Can I exhibit artworks with glass or acrylic frames?

Yes, artworks may be exhibited with glass or acrylic frames. However, reflective glass or acrylic is not recommended as it creates strong reflections from gallery lighting and affects visibility and photography. Non reflective or museum grade materials are strongly advised.

Who is responsible for artwork labels?

Each artist is responsible for creating and bringing their own artwork labels. Labels must be professional, clear and visually considered, as they represent the artist. Espacio Gallery provides label templates. Artists may also use their own visual identity if suitable for wall display.
